Disclaimer/Refund Policy

Notarization of documents does not guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, or legality of the content of the documents however it is a process that adds an additional layer of authentication to the document.  As a notary public, we only verify the identity of signers and certify that we have witnessed the signing of the document.  We do not take responsibility for the content or legal implications of the documents being notarized.  It is the responsibility of the signers to ensure the accuracy and legality of the content of the documents being notarized.  

Notarization is only one step in the document authentication process and may be required for certain legal or official transactions. However, notarization alone does not guarantee the validity or enforceability of the document in all circumstances.

It is the sole responsibility of the signer to ensure they are notarizing the proper documents and they will be accepted by any requesting party.  

It is the sole responsibility of the signer to ensure the requesting party of the documents accepts online notarizations or electronic documents.

We are not authorized to provide legal advice or legal representation.  If you have any questions or concerns about the content of the document or its legal implications, you should consult with a licensed attorney.

Andrea L Barrett strives to ensure customer satisfaction with every interaction.  All sales are final however, we understand that there may be circumstances where a refund is necessary. This refund policy outlines our procedures for refund requests.

Refund Eligibility 

• To be eligible for a refund you must submit in writing a request stating the following:

  • The date of the request

  • The date the service was provided

  • The client's name services were provided for

  • Your contact information

  • The reason for the request

Refund Process

• To initiate a refund, please submit the required information to our office at andrea@albbiz.net with REFUND REQUEST in the subject line.  The refund request must be received within 45 days from the date of service. 

• Once received our team will review your request.  You will receive an email notification of the status of your refund request.  If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.

Changes to This Policy

• We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

We understand that circumstances may arise that require the cancellation of services. To ensure transparency and fairness, we have established the following cancellation policy.

 Cancellation Period

• You must notify us of any cancellations at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment by responding to the confirmation text to modify or cancel your appointment, sending an email to andrea@albbiz.net,  or calling our office at 757-901-8195.  

Cancellation Charges

• If a cancellation is made within the specified cancellation period, no charges will apply, and any prepaid fees will be refunded.

• If a cancellation is made outside of the specified cancellation period, a cancellation fee in the amount equal to the scheduled service may apply. 

Exceptions

• In cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, we may waive cancellation charges at our discretion. Clients are required to provide appropriate documentation to support their claim.

• For services involving non-refundable expenses, such as travel or accommodation bookings, clients may be responsible for these expenses regardless of the cancellation period.

Rescheduling

• Clients may have the option to reschedule services instead of canceling, subject to availability and any applicable rescheduling fees. The rescheduling process must adhere to the same cancellation policy outlined above.

Communication

• All cancellations must be communicated to us via our designated channels, such as phone, email, or online booking platforms. Verbal cancellations must be followed up with written confirmation.

Amendments

• We reserve the right to amend this cancellation policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who continually cancels, reschedules, or no-shows their appointments without providing proper notice.
